Seattle is a seaside city that has a diverse population and its restaurants feature fresh fish that's caught daily and fresh produce from local markets. Seattle has a unique dining scene, so it’s hard to pick ten of the outstanding selections, but here's our best shot. Here are ten restaurants that offer some of Seattle’s best cuisine:

  • Best Overall Fine Dining-Waterfront Seafood Grill at the Pier, (www.waterfrontpier70.com) According to Zagat, customers say it doesn’t get any better than this. This elegant restaurant, in the $50-$75 range has walls of glass that offer the finest views of Elliott Bay, Magnolia Bluff and the Space Needle. They offer a wide variety of seafood, steaks, tempura and lamb, and you can order smaller plates that are half the price and still a great meal. Great wine pairings and the service is great.
  • For Seafood, you have to visit The Oceanaire-Seattle, (www.theoceanaire.com). Not only known for the variety of daily fresh seafood specials, but many people love their fresh, raw oyster bar that also features fresh lobsters and crabs. Wine stewards select the perfect pairing with a seafood menu that changes daily and a wide selection of steaks and they have unique side dishes like fried green tomatoes, salt and vinegar fries or hashed brown potatoes a la Oceanaire. Price range is $50-$75 and the ambience is elegant, romantic and private seating is available.

This revolving restaurant has a great brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, and it is a great way to see the city. For around $50, you can get the brunch and an admission to the observation deck, well worth the price.

    This classic Italian restaurant has a warm romantic atmosphere with great Italian food and a wonderful wine selection. The authentic Italian cuisine is made with the freshest ingredients and it is reasonably priced in the $15-$25 range.
  • Most Unusual and Memorable-The Herbfarm, (www.theherbfarm.com)
    Each week, The Herbfarm restaurant chooses the best for dinner themes. The location is on the tranquil grounds of a dairy and berry farm turned herb garden. Not only do they offer some of the best quality Wagyu beef, among other choices, but pick their herbs fresh daily for specialty dishes.

Of course, Seattle has argumentatively, more restaurants that could tie or fit in the Top 10, but this is a good sampling of ones you should include whether you live in Seattle, or are planning a visit.
